As I've written elsewhere, any weapon, tactic, or what not that doesn't involve hacking a game executable, exploiting a map bug, etc. is valid, or, as I put it, it's all part of the game. Given that I keep getting kicked from game servers for absolutely ridiculous reasons, I figured I would start keeping track of them for their entertainment value. The list is as follows.

| 08/21/05 | Battlefield 2 | I was playing on the GhostSquad server with my clan mate, Bad^Karma, when we were teamkilled by an artillery strike. Now, since there were no enemy units anywhere nearby, and both of us were clearly visible on the radar, I said "nice arty tk" on the chat to suggest that maybe, just maybe the commander's time would be better spent nuking the other team. What I got was kicked for my trouble. I wish I could say that was the only time the GS guys were egotistical jerks, but it wasn't; they TK'ed us before simply because they wanted the chopper we were about to take. What a great clan that must be. |
| 10/27/04 | Raven Shield | I was playing on the Zombie Squad (ZS) server with my friends, and owning pretty hard I should add (my kills/deaths for the eight rounds of the match were 18 and 4 respectively), when I announced it would be my last round. I suggested to a fellow with whom my clan had been working well that he should check us out. Somebody from ZS, who must have been smurfing, banned me permanently from their server. The ass is strong with that one. |
| 05/26/04 | Raven Shield | I was playing on the ESP server when one of the fellows there had a good round, killing my entire team by himself. He asked if anyone wanted to join his clan, which incidentally was different from ESP. So the next round I played my best and killed the entire enemy team by myself. Naturally, given his example, I had to ask: so, anyone want to join SMS? I was immediately kicked from the server. I guess it's alright for others to be cocky, but it's not alright for me. Another lovely double standard. |

I guess we were owning BGE a bit too hard, for they kicked me just as I won a round for my team. They kicked one of my teammates a second later and the third left to avoid the llama stench. |
| 03/10/04 | Raven Shield | I was on the HCT "Got Skills?" server when I made the mistake of asking why they didn't allow any of the third-person camera views. The answer I got was "Because we don't so shut the fuck up", followed by getting kicked from the server. Ah, how reasonable. If only I'd known it was because they don't. Silly me. |

Somebody on the server wondered aloud whether perhaps he could join Osama Bin Laden's Al Qaeda, to which I said "If you're a rag-headed ass who goes around blowing up the innocent, well, then probably so." The response was "Hey, Phil, lots of those 'innocents' go around killing people you know," and I was kicked. Yes, I live in world without an ounce of moral knowledge when people are so obtuse as to miss the clear distinctions between a terrorist and the innocents he murders. But then I guess kicking me was just more typical "tolerance" from the the loving, peaceful, tolerant religion that is Islam; you know, the same folk who stone women for not wearing veils. |

If the fools who kicked me had their way, I guess I would simply stand still and hurl vaguely insulting language in the direction of my enemies. Maybe that, at least, would be "valid".
